Changes Guide for the new RewardsAffiliates.com

Welcome to the brand new RewardsAffiliates.com website!

Featuring all the same information, content and tools from before, plus a handful of exciting new ones and a fresh new design, your RewardsAffiliates.com experience is now better than ever.

As a result of launching the new site however, some of our Affiliates may find that their sites no longer appear 100% the way they did before. As a result of the site relaunch, some of you may be having the following problems:

  • Images may no longer display
  • Certain scripts and/or effects may no longer seem to work
  • Certain links may no longer be valid
All these problems are easy to fix, just keep reading to see if the solution is below:

Broken or not found Images, Banners, Flash etc:

As part of the site relaunch, we have moved many of the images and other resources previously hosted on RewardsAffiliates.com to a brand new Content Delivery Network (CDN) platform. This ensures all resources are stored on a fast, dedicated web server.

If you're having problems with resource URLs no longer being valid, try changing the 'source' URL to the following:

http://cdn.rewardsaffiliates.com/...
This will instruct your page to retrieve the resource from our CDN server, instead of the website domain (where it no longer resides).

Invalid Links

If you are finding your site now has links that do not work, it may be because the URL of the link no longer matches a page in the structure of the new RewardsAffiliates.com site. As part of the relaunch, some pages were removed, others added, and some even combined. One of the steps below may help to find the updated URL for your link:

  • Check the updated Sitemap for the new location and URL of the page you're after
  • If the page you are trying to link to has a '.asp' extension, try changing it to a '.aspx' extension
  • If it is a link to an embedded script, see the section below for more details

Embedded Scripts, Page Peels, Animated Banners, IM Pops and other Marketing Tools no longer work

The script code that has been embedded into your website may now contain link paths that are no longer valid within the structure of the new RewardsAffiliates.com website. To fix this you just need to regenerate the script code to embed by going to the appropriate Marketing Tools (login required) page, selecting your options (if applicable) and copy-pasting the newly generated code into your site.
